Station Road, on the approach to the main junction.
What is proposed
An additional traffic lane on Station Road as vehicles approach the junction providing extra capacity.
Why this change is needed
- To increase vehicle stacking space.
- To reduce congestion and improve traffic flow through the junction.
How this will be delivered
- A short section of pedestrian footway adjacent to Eileen Mason will be slightly reduced in width.
- The footway will then be widened into the existing grassed area to maintain pedestrian space while allowing room for the additional vehicle lane.
