Why this change is needed

- The ‘green man’ signal will allow pedestrians to cross while vehicle traffic is stopped at a red signal.
How this will be delivered
The existing traffic signals will be upgraded to include a pedestrian push‑button facility. No changes to the road layout are required to deliver this improvement.
