Moat Street and Villiers Street development proposals

The Willenhall Framework Plan sets out a 10-year vision for housing growth and place making for the town. The Moat Street and Villiers Street redevelopment is in the first phase of the regeneration plans.

The proposals include 107 new dwellings and green spaces over five sites (A-E):

  • Site A: Demolition of dilapidated former factory buildings and the erection of 22 new homes
  • Site B: Erection of 50 new homes through a combination of houses and apartment blocks, and retention and conversion of locally listed building
  • Site C: The creation of new green open space for used by residents and the wider community  
  • Site D: Demolition of existing industrial buildings and erection of 8 new houses and 12 apartments
  • Site E: Erection of 15 new homes and retention of the Liberal Club and bowling green

Engagement sessions and survey (now closed)

We held two public engagement sessions in December 2022 for you to find out about the proposals. Council staff and representatives from our partners Arcadis and Avison Young were in attendance.

Survey and feedback

We engaged with residents, businesses and organisations to share information included in the proposals.

We also provided an opportunity for you to submit your comments on the proposals. This survey closed on Sunday 11 December 2022. Where possible, we considered this feedback in the preparation of the planning application. You can download a summary of this feedback below:
