Job overview

The distribution centre provides Christmas stock to UK stores and fulfils customer online orders. The role includes picking and packing and is very light work.

Main duties and responsibilities

  • Picking, Packing & Sorting Products 

There will be 2 shift systems. 8 hours and 12 hours. (includes weekends)

12 hour shifts are 4 days on 4 days off. 10am-10pm and nights 10pm to 10am (can stick to the same shift) 

8 hour shifts rotate so must be able to do both 6am-2pm and 2pm-10pm although depending on availability may be able to stick to one shift.

Sunday working is rare for 8 hour shifts.  

There a no part time shifts 

Knowledge, qualifications and experience: 

  • No experience needed 
  • Must be 18+ 
  • Must be able to stand for long periods. 
  • Be able to read and write English 
  • Be able to provide ID and right to work information 
  • Able to do 8 or 12 hour shifts 

Salary

Pay rate for days is £11.44 per hour and night hour pay (10pm – 6am) paid at £11.93 per hour. Pay rates are for both Warehouse and FLT roles.

Transport

Customers download the Zeelo app on their phone to buy tickets (this is not NX bus), paper tickets can also be used if printed beforehand.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Fits and assembles components, using hand tools and portable power tools, such as drill, riveter.   
  • Measures and cuts woodstock and installs wood floors, interiors, insulations, and fixtures, using hand tools, such as hammer, file, screwdriver and power tools such as bandsaw and hand drill.  
  • Installs electrical wiring for dome lights, taillights, brake lights, and other equipment according to specified procedures.  
  • May spray or brush paint, primer, or protective coating on wood and metal surfaces.

The Project Monitoring & Evaluation Officer has overall responsibility for monitoring the progress of the Windrush Sisters Project, against agreed targets. To Monitor and keep records of the project spend and output delivery, being responsible for presenting monitoring reports and quarterly claims to the Project Manager, Board of Trustees and Steering Group and funder. The designing and producing of mid-term and end of year evaluation reports in line with National Lottery Heritage Fund Evaluation good practice guidance.

The postholder must have:

  • qualifications and relevant experience of financial management, experience of keeping excellent monitoring information and the evaluation of projects. 
  • significant project monitoring and evaluation skills.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

Reporting to the Production Manager, duties will include:

  • Check the information provided on our production drawings.
  • Retrieve and replace materials from sheet stocks in racks and free standing.
