| Main duties and responsibilities | Machine Operators are responsible for threading engineering studs. All threading is carried out by hand using manual threading machines. They work closely with our Tool Setters to identify orders in production and ensure machines are set up for all orders. Operators will work to specification set on Production Cards and carry out quality checks on parts to ensure specifications are met. •Operating manual threading machines to produce engineering studs •Planning and processing jobs in line with customer delivery dates, taking into account machine set-up requirements. •Working with Tool Setters to ensure machines are set up and calibrated correctly. •Adhering to Health and Safety guidelines. •Checking off work with the quality department to ensure work is correct. •Helping out on other sections as required. |
