Job overviewTo deliver high standards of care, protection and support to children and adults with 
learning disabilities and related complex needs by facilitating their physical, psychological, emotional and recreational development.
Main duties and responsibilities
  • To be responsible to the team, senior staff and the registered manager for the direct care of the children, adults and support of the staff team when on duty.
  • To actively promote Swanton Care and Community philosophy of creating a family style home and maintain the home’s Statement of Purpose.
Knowledge, qualifications and experience
  • To be aware of and have an understanding of autism and the models on which the home’s practice is based and the theory that underpins the model.
  • To be familiar with and aware of safeguarding issues procedures and guidelines.
  • To be alert to the signs of distress and abuse, and to ensure that the children and adults are monitored and protected.
  • To ensure you have all relevant information on the child and adult’s background and present needs by reading all relevant documents & signing records.
  • To be aware of relevant information, that requires daily attention such as children and adults logs, incident files, sanction and communications books, diary etc.
  • To ensure that you record all information accurately and legibly and communicate it appropriately.
  • To attend handovers giving and receiving all information appropriately as well as contributing to discussions and debriefings.
  • Create opportunities for changes in behaviour and renewed confidence in line with the organisation’s practice model.
  • To contribute to the normal development of the children and adults through the provision of a healthy lifestyle.
  • To be aware of the children’s and adults leisure and recreational needs and preferences within Business policies and guidelines.

Job overviewTo enforce all on-street permitted parking regulations in all controlled zones, in accordance with the Traffic Management Act 2004
Main duties and responsibilities
  • To issue Penalty Charge Notices (PCN’s) to vehicles found to be in contravention of the parking regulations.
  • To record, report and take appropriate action on any defects found in street furniture, including signs and road markings.
  • To attend, when necessary, adjudication hearings to give supporting information in connection with contested PCN’s.
  • Log your position manually in your Hand-Held Computer Terminal
  • Represent the Company and the Council by promoting good public relations, providing advice and information concerning parking related matters, to members of the public whenever asked, in a courteous and considerate manner.
  • To use your radio and HHCT equipment in a proper manner in accordance with procedures and safeguard same from damage and misuse.
  • To ensure beat patterns, if used, are followed as instructed by your Supervisor/Manager
  • To ensure any difficulties or problems occurring during the course of a normal working day are reported to your Senior CEO/Supervisor and to log all such reports in your pocketbook and if necessary, Incident Report
  • Patrol and enforce parking regulations at nominated local authority Car Parks
  • As required assist in cash collection from car park machines
  • To report for duty on time, wearing full uniform and be well groomed and of smart appearance
  • As requested, drive company vehicles on business in accordance with policy and procedure. 
Knowledge, qualifications and experience
  • Full UK Driving Licence

Salary

32-hour contract

£NMW for 1st month and then £12.94 per hour / £21,532.16 per annum. 

Pay increase due from 1 April to £13.71 per hour / £22,813.44 per annum.

Support service user to maintain financial records and adhere to realistic budgets. 

Administer medication as instructed in the company policy and additional local authority policies and complete raining with external pharmacists. 

To work within health and safety guidelines and participate in manual handling training.

All staff commit to training towards a accredited QCF level 2 or above.
