Walsall Works - about us

Who we are

Walsall Works is a council funded programme offering one-to-one support for people in Walsall looking for work, training or support to progress into a chosen career path.

What we do

We provide support to local people to achieve personal career goals. Whether you're skilled or someone with no work experience, whatever the personal circumstance or stage in your career, our aim is to help you move forward and make the right choices.

We offer a free job brokerage service to local businesses to support with their recruitment needs. This gives us access to hundreds of local jobs through our employer links which we match with local people.

What we offer

When you register with Walsall Works, you will receive ongoing advice from our team who have the knowledge and expertise to improve your employability and find the right job opportunities for you.

We will regularly update you with the latest jobs, apprenticeships and training via a weekly jobs bulletin. If you need additional support, we can partner you with a dedicated employment adviser who can support you by:

  • giving you access to free training to increase your skills
  • helping you to explore careers options, and navigate jobs within local and national employers
  • providing practical advice for writing CVs, completing job applications and practicing for interviews
