Choose who will install your dropped kerb

If we approve your application for a dropped kerb, you can either:

  • use Walsall Council's contractor, or
  • hire your own contractor.

The process, permits and costs are different for each option.

Use Walsall Council's contractor

Our approved contractor is Tarmac Limited.

What happens next?

  1. Tarmac will assess the site and provide a quotation.
  2. You apply for a road opening permit (the permit application form will be attached to the quotation)
  3. Pay the permit fee of £140.00 (you can contact us to pay the permit fee by phone)
  4. If you accept the quotation, they will carry out the work.

Typical costs

The final cost will depend on the site and any additional work required.
