There are some things you need to prepare before you apply.

You can apply for most types of planning permission using the Planning Portal.

Not all application types can be completed online, but you can download the forms you need from the Planning Portal.

Apply by post

If you decide to submit your application by post, you will need to pay a scanning fee:​

You can then send your completed application by post to the planning team.

Changes to householder amended drawings and revisions

We will be introducing changes to householder applications. When we receive a householder application, we will allow one amendment.We will make a decision based on that amendment, and we will not accept any other amendments.

We offer pre-planning application advice. The advice will improve the quality of the application and give you the best chance of getting planning permission.

This approach is being taken to improve the speed of issuing planning decisions.
