How to pay your planning fee

There are three ways to pay your planning fee:

You’ll need to pay by card over the phone for:

  • pre-application advice
  • development team advice
  • do I need planning permission advice
  • scanning charges
  • archived documents
  • site history search
  • tree works
  • planning obligation charges

Make sure you have a payment card ready, and the following information:

  • the name and reference code of the service you’re paying for (you’ll find this in the list of charges document at the top of the page)
  • the site address/reference number of the request
  • how much you’re paying

Business hours:

Monday to Thursday: 8.45am - 5.15pm

Friday: 8.45am - 4.45pm

You can call outside these hours in an emergency. You will be transferred to the emergency out of hours team.
