Adult social care helps people stay independent, safe, and well. This means supporting people who are frail, have disabilities or mental health issues, and their carers.
In Walsall, we want everyone to live happy and healthy lives.
We offer different types of help based on what you need. This can include advice, links to local groups, equipment, or practical help like washing and dressing. Some people might need short-term help to get back their independence, like after being in hospital, or learning to use public transport.
We work hard to understand what you need and want, to give you the best support and lots of choices.
Unlike the NHS, not all adult social care is free. The Care Act 2014 guides us in what we must do when someone needs care and support, and how we support carers.
