Get advice about COVID-19 and other infectious diseases
Walsall Public Health offers health protection advice and support to Walsall education settings, businesses and other organisations.
The team are available 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday. They should be the first point of call if:
- there are concerns about any infectious diseases in an individual or group in the workplace or setting
- there is a higher than previously experienced and/or rapidly increasing number of staff, employee or student absences due to respiratory illness or other infections illness e.g. norovirus
- there is evidence of severe disease due to an infectious disease, for example if a pupil, student, child or staff member is admitted to hospital
- there is a cluster of cases where there are concerns about the health needs of vulnerable staff or students
The team will assess the risks and advise you of what action you can take. Taking early action could stop a major outbreak.
