Apply for a dropped kerb assessment

You must get permission to drop a kerb. For most properties, you’ll need to:

• complete and submit an online assessment application
• pay a non-refundable assessment fee of £170.00

If your property is on a classified road or in a conservation area, or it’s a house divided into flats, you'll need to get planning permission. You should complete the same application form. We waive the assessment fee but you'll have to pay a planning fee instead.

You'll be asked to phone us to make a payment at the end of the form.

Making our decision

We'll then contact you within three weeks to tell you if we have approved your application.

If we reject your application and you have extra information to support it, you can ask us to reconsider.
