Before you start your application

When you apply, you will need:

  • your personal details, including your National Insurance number
  • evidence of your situation, such as a recent bank statement.
  • for housing payments, you’ll also need evidence of rent arrears or a shortfall

We look at each application on its own. If we give support, we expect you to work with any support we offer to help improve your long‑term financial situation.

Help to apply

If you need help getting online, visit a Walsall Connected centre for general support. Please call ahead to check opening times and availability.

If you can’t apply online, call 0300 555 2855 and choose option 2.

For urgent crisis support (not including cash payments), call 01922 652250 and choose option 3.
