Natural Environment Supplementary Planning Document (SPD)
Walsall Council is consulting on the draft Natural Environment Supplementary Planning Document (SPD) that provides guidance on complying with the existing and emerging Local Plan and National policies and guidance for the protection of the natural environment, including issues such as ‘biodiversity net gain’, protected species and habitats to ensure it is properly considered in the development management process.
In order to respond you need to review the Draft Natural Environment SPD available here.
This SPD will sit alongside other supporting SPD and planning guidance documents produced by the Walsall Council, while superseding the current Conserving Walsall’s Natural Environment SPD once published.
This consultation seeks feedback on the Council’s proposed approach. We welcome responses from residents, businesses, developers, and other stakeholders.
