Log on/off
Logging on
- Each time you log on you will be asked to agree to our acceptable use policy
 - You can have a maximum of 60 minutes access each day
 - You can't bank time and carry it over to other days
 - You may be able to extend your session - this will be at the discretion of library staff
 
Logging off
- You'll get an on-screen alert 10 minutes before your session ends
 - You'll get another alert 2 minutes before your session ends
 - The computer will automatically log off at the end of your session
 - Remember to save your work on your own portable data storage device - don't save any of your work on to the computer hard drive
 - To protect your privacy and data security, all computers will automatically delete local user files and web history
 
Registering
- If you’re not yet a library member, you can join online or visit a library to get started
 - When you join, you'll need to set a PIN to use the computers
 - If you're under 13 you will need your parent/carer's permission to use the internet
 
Booking a computer
- You can book a computer up to 7 days in advance
 - Staff can reserve a session for you within the library
 - You can reserve a computer from home by ringing your local library (you will need your library barcode number)
 - Please remember to cancel if you are unable to attend your booking
 - Reserved computers will become automatically available after 8 minutes
 - If your booking lapses your time allowance will be used for the day
 - To protect your privacy and data security, all computers will automatically delete local user files and web history
 
Printing
- A4/A3 black and white and colour printing is charged at a standard rate per side
 - Wireless printing is available at our 7 static library sites and archives. Library members can access this online. You can print directly from your device on site.

Wifi
- You do not need to be a library member to use the WiFi
 - The library WiFi network is a filtered service and is unsecured
 - We recommend that you do not transfer confidential information, such as financial details or passwords
 - We recommend that your equipment has adequate security and anti-virus protection installed
 
Computers
- As a Walsall library member you can use our full range of computer services
 - Temporary visitor passes can be issued by library staff - there's a charge for this
 - You need to bring your library card number and your PIN
