There are a number of ways you can get your business involved with keeping your local area tidy.

Benefits to you

If you choose to sponsor a group, school or event, they will promote your organisation through social media and print media channels. There’s an opportunity to have your logo put onto their hi-visibility jackets. 

The litter charter

Pledge to keep your shop front clean and encourage pride in your area by:

• changing public behaviour by promoting the anti-litter message
• reviewing and reducing packaging
• managing and collecting litter generated from the business
• keeping your shop frontage free of litter
• disposing of business waste responsibly

And we will:

• provide equipment, free of charge, to help you keep your business frontages clean and tidy
• promote your efforts in assisting us on the council website and social media
• provide education for your staff to help promote the anti-litter message
• provide campaign materials to put in and around your place of work
• arrange a point of contact for you to liaise with to support your businesses efforts
• offer opportunities to become involved with national campaigns
• provide free advertising on Walsall Council bins on your high street or local district centre

Sponsor a new litter bin

Your business could purchase litter bins that we’ll install within parks, play areas, green spaces and on streets. We will insert a poster with your company name and logo thanking you for your support. You’ll also benefit from print, social media and council web page promotion.

Adopt a litter picking group

Adopting a community group will provide your business with opportunities to promote and support the fantastic work that our volunteers are doing. You could attend litter picking events, help tackle litter issues, or provide a financial contribution. 

Adopt a school

Make stronger links within your community by supporting your local school. 

A financial contribution can help provide a school with essential equipment, and help them to educate students on the impact that litter has on their community. 

Sponsor the annual Pride in Your Patch celebration event

The clean and green team host an annual Pride in Your Patch celebration event to acknowledge and thank volunteers for their hard work. This is a showcasing event for individuals, community groups, schools and businesses to share the activities, events and projects they have delivered over the previous 12 months.

Sponsorship money will go towards costs involved with organising the event. You’ll have a section in the programme and the opportunity to give a presentation at the event, as well as the usual sponsorship benefits listed below.
