Accessibility

The site has hard flat, tarmac-surfaced paths, which are suitable for wheelchair users, people with mobility impairments and pushchairs. There are accessible walking trails in the wooded area of the park. To access the park a visitor would need to be able to get through a K-gate security measure. These barriers are 865mm from floor to the bottom of the squeeze plate and squeeze plate is only 570mm wide.

There are hard paths all around the park, as well as nature trails with matting suitable for wheelchairs users. All pathways allow for turning (1500-2000mm).

There are 20 well-spaced benches along the main paths to allow for rest if required.

The outdoor gym has wheelchair-accessible equipment with a seatless arm and pedal bike, seatless chest press, seatless lat’ pulldown.and a seatless Thai-chi wheel. All facilities are near to the tarmac path for easy access.

All gates in the area are wheelchair accessible.
