Rough Wood

This site is great for health walks, dog walking, picnics, and watching nature. Rough Wood is a series of pools and is a great place to walk. The old oak trees and clearings are full of wildlife. 

Rough Wood is a Local Nature Reserve (LNR) and Site of Importance for Nature Conservation (SINC). 

Accessibility

Good access with generally flat grass-based paths.  Access to other sites in the wider circular walk are restricted by crossing points.

Getting to Rough Wood

Several bus companies run services that will take you near to the wood including National Express West Midlands, Thandi Transport and Diamond.
