Museum tours

Guided group tours take about 1 hour 30 minutes.  

Entry to the museum is free. Visitor assistants will be happy to give a free tour to walk-in visitors if they are available.

For groups of eight people or more we recommend booking in advance, and suggest a voluntary donation of £2.00 per person.

You can request a group tour by filling in our form. Tell us when you'd like to visit, and we'll get back to you. Choose from:

• premium package
• standard tour
• self-guided group visit

Our premium group package includes refreshments. You can also buy hot and cold drinks and biscuits in our coffee shop.

Your guide will explain the displays and bring history to life with stories. They will demonstrate leatherworking techniques, and give you the chance to make your own keyring! Keyrings cost 60p (included in the premium tour package).
