Booked craft workshops for children are suitable for a learning age of around 5 to 12.
Drop-in sessions are suitable for mixed family groups where adults and children can work together. They are also suited to supported children, and adults with additional learning needs. Places for carers are free. We use skills such as cutting, gluing, drawing, and moulding in our drop-in sessions.
All activities for children and adults take place on the ground floor. There are accessible toilets and handwashing facilities nearby.
Bring your Brownie or Scout group for 'A Night at the Museum'
Have you ever thought about what it would be like to spend a night in a museum? Wonder no more! Bring your group of Brownies, Scouts or friends for a sleepover! You'll have exclusive use of the building from 7pm until 9am the following morning.
The event includes a leather purse-making activity and an optional tour. A member of staff will stay overnight in the building.
- £20.00 per child
- Minimum group size: 25 children, or minimum total cost: £500.00
- Maximum group size: 40 children
There is no charge for adults who are supervising the event.
Cutlery, crockery and hot water supplied.

Arrange a children's party
Our spacious party room is a great venue for a party with a difference! Our party packages last for two hours. You'll have exclusive use of the party room, where you can set up your own birthday buffet and party games, and a fully-led leathercraft session (this takes up to an hour). Choose from the options below:

Unattended child policy
Children aged 8 and over may be left without adult supervision at bookable workshops. Ask at the front desk for an unaccompanied child form.
As a parent/carer, you will need to complete this form before the start of the workshop. The adult named on the contact sheet must collect the child at the end of the session.
Parents/carers must stay with children and supervise them during drop-in sessions.
Cancellation policy for booked events and activities
We do not offer refunds for places cancelled on our workshops or events. We are also unable to transfer your booking to an alternative session.
If we cancel or postpone a workshop or event for any reason, we will contact you. We will offer you a full refund via your original payment method.
