Making Connections Walsall

Leading a happy and active social live improves your health and wellbeing. Making Connections Walsall tackles loneliness and social isolation, and offers one-to-one support to help you engage in community activities and build social networks.

We believe in the importance of:

  • strong social networks
  • access to friends and family
  • an active social life

There are lots of groups, organisations and clubs in Walsall which can support your health and wellbeing.

Find out if you're eligible

This service is for you if you're:

  • a resident of any age within Walsall
  • experiencing hardship, loneliness and isolation
  • an individual or a family

It's about helping and supporting you to overcome barriers that are affecting you. The types of support available include:

  • befriending
  • signposting to community activities
  • signposting to support services
  • access to priority shopping slots

    What happens next

    1. West Midlands Fire Service (WMFS) will process your referral and connect you to your local hub organisation.
    2. Your local hub will contact you within three working days. They will assess your needs.
    3. The social connector will contact you to talk about the types of activities you enjoy. They will help you find activities, projects and services to support you that are available in your area.
