Walsall Council has responsibility for road safety. We review road collisions involving injury on an annual basis. Bentley Lane between High Road, Lane Head and Bloxwich Lane has been identified as a poor performing route with increasing public anxiety regarding road safety and inappropriate vehicle speeds. There have been four recorded collisions resulting in injury in the previous 3-year period, two of which resulted in serious injuries.
In order to improve safety and moderate vehicle speeds on along Bentley Lane, it is proposed that road safety measures in the form of speed cushions are introduced along the route.
