Walsall Brine Pool
You said, We did
We received 1,197 responses giving feedback on the current brine pool as well as opinions around future provision.
The overarching finding is that the Brine Pool is hugely valued, and there were many examples of the positive impact the pool has had on the health and wellbeing of users.
Data from those who responded, including where people travel from and how people travel, is being fed into further analysis of current usage patterns.
The results are being used to help create a long-term plan for sports and leisure buildings. This plan looks at current facilities, future community needs, and how buildings should be improved, managed, or developed. It will also help decide the future role of the brine pool and Walsall Gala Swimming & Fitness Centre within the borough's indoor sports and leisure facilities.
Walsall's brine pool is a warm, high-salt content therapeutic pool located within the Walsall Gala Swimming and Fitness Centre. As one of only a few such facilities in the UK, it offers a relaxing, buoyant environment used to relieve joint stiffness, arthritis, pain, and aid rehabilitation.
Whether you use the brine pool or not we want your views. All feedback received will be considered alongside other information and used to inform our service planning and delivery.
