Linking Lives Aldridge- Befriending and Activities

Linking Lives Aldridge is engaging with the huge issue of loneliness and social isolation many older adults are facing in the community. We offer both telephone and face-to-face befriending depending on volunteer and client preference, and we offer a range of activities, held at Aldridge Methodist Church, for older adults who are seeking friendship.

Place of Welcome is held every Monday between 10am-12pm.

Every Tuesday, during term time, between 10.30-12pm, we host Cue and Brew, a chance to meet others, talk football, play a game of snooker or pool, play a game of darts or simply enjoy the atmosphere.

Wednesdays, 11am onwards, we hold a Lunch Club, cost of £5 pp with anyone who would otherwise eat alone welcome to enjoy a two course home cooked meal in company.

We have a craft group on the first Wednesday of each month between 1.15-2.45pm and we offer other activities throughout the year. Our service is available to people of all faiths and none.
