Membership
How do sign up to become a member?We offer a range of memberships to suit individuals and families. You can join online or in person at one of our centres.
If you want to change your bank details, you will need to contact The Harlands Group.
If you want to cancel your membership with us, you will need to contact The Harlands Group.
Do not cancel with your bank before contacting Harlands as you may potentially be charged.
There is a cancellation period of one month.
If you would like to freeze your membership, please email gym memberships. Please note that we require at least 10 days notice to apply the freeze.
There is not a contract when you sign up for a membership, but we do require a month's notice to cancel.
A young person aged between 11 and 15 years can take out a membership with us, but must have the permission of a parent or guardian to use their bank details.
Young people aged 11 to 15 years can use our gyms, but must be accompanied and supervised at all times by a paying adult aged 18 years or older. An 'all about you' meeting with our fitness staff must be arranged prior to attending the first session.
If you have lost your card you will need to visit one of our facilities and request a new card. This will cost £1.00
If you want to change your name, you will need to contact The Harlands Group.
Swimming
Do I need to book in advance for swimming?Advanced bookings is only available for pool sessions where capacity is an issue and sessions are likely to become full. Bookable sessions are clearly marked on pool timetables.
For non-bookable sessions you can simply turn up and swim at your convenience.
All children under the age of 8 must be accompanied in the pool by a responsible adult at all times.
In the Bloxwich, Oak Park and Darlaston teaching pools 1 adult may accompany 3 children aged 4 to 7 years or 2 children under the age of 4.
In all other pools 1 adult may accompany 2 children aged 4 to 7 years or 1 child under the age of 4.
No armbands are allowed on the inflatable.
Children should be competent swimmers and able to swim 25 metres comfortably.
Children should be able to jump into deep water and tread water.
This will be considered according on each individuals circumstances and reasons. Swimming tops are usually allowed for reasons including medical conditions, skin conditions, and dignity reasons. The top needs to be suitable and not heavy duty with can get heavy when wet.
Booking online
What activities are available to book in advance?As we move into a new phase of Covid guidance, advanced bookings are no longer required by law and capacities have been increased where safely possible. Due to positive feedback we have retained advanced booking for high demand sessions and activities.
A Walsall Gala advanced bookings are available for group exercise sessions, including aquacise and aqua-therapy. All other general swimming sessions and gym usage cannot be booked in advance.
At Darlaston Pool advanced booking is available for aquacise. All other pool and gym usage can no longer be booked in advance.
At Oak Park and Bloxwich Active Living Centres advanced bookings will only be available for classes and pool sessions that are in high demand these are highlighted on the pool timetable. Advance bookings are no longer available for the gym.
Leisure Hub is our new online booking system, which will allow you to register as a member or non-member to book classes or other activities at our sites. The old online booking system will cease to work, so you will need to move across to Leisure Hub to continue your online booking options.
You will need to register for Leisure Hub to allow you to book classes and other activities using our Leisure Hub booking system.
Registering is easy. You will need your unique number on the back of your card and your email address.
Customers must have a unique email address to use Leisure Hub. Please check that anyone linked to your account has a different email address.
Speak to our reception team or email gym memberships if you are still experiencing problems.
No problem, you can book classes or an activity as a casual member. You will need to create an account
You are able to book up to seven days in advance, however, payment will be required at the time of booking.
Once it is added to your basket, you will have 30 minutes to book and pay for the session.
If you exceed this time the session will be removed from your basket.
You can change your booking within the my booking area of your member profile on Leisure Hub. Alternatively you can phone one of our centres.
Refunds are not available but we will try to transfer your booking to a more convenient time.
You may be entering details that are incorrectly stored on our system. Please ensure you are using the details you originally registered with.
You may be putting in the wrong password, please try Forgot Password.
Every account must be registered with a different email address. Once an email is registered to an account, it cannot be used for another person’s account for example your child.
If you are still having problems please contact the Leisure Centre of your choice who will assist you. Alternatively, email gym memberships.
This could be for a number of reasons.
Your online registration email address must match the email address we have when you joined or registered for a Walsall Leisure card. If you need to change your email, please contact one of the centres or email gym memberships
Yes, you will need to contact the reception team to provide them with the new email address that you would like to use with your account or email gym memberships.
