The site is a large and well-used open space in the centre of Pelsall. It has flat, grassed sections that are suitable for sports activities, carnivals and fairs. Heath End pool, on the south western side of the common, is in an area left unmown for biodiversity. The area is split into four sections by the B4154 and Vicarage Road.
There is a Friends of Pelsall Village Common Group on facebook.

Facilities and features
- Children's play area
- Wildlife pool
The park has 2 accessible picnic benches located next to the children’s play area in the middle of the site. The play area also has an accessible play bowl. Grass paths at the south end of the site allow access to the pool for observing local wildlife.
All facilities are accessible for wheelchair users, people with mobility impairments and pushchairs via a pathway of some form. Some of these are public footpaths along the road and some are tarmac footpaths across the common, for example, the play area. The park also has some grass pathways which are mown shorter than other areas of the common but might be difficult to use in bad weather.
All pathways are at least 1100mm wide for wheelchairs and many pathways allow for turning (1500-2000mm wide).
There are 18 well-spaced benches around the main paths of the common to allow for rest if required.
