Skate park - free to use.
Accessibility
The park has tarmac-surfaced paths, with some slight inclines. All paths are accessible to wheelchairs, people with mobility impairments and pushchairs, being at least 1100mm wide and most allowing for turning (1500-2000mm wide).
The children’s play area can be accessed by a pedestrian entrance on Coppice Road. To gain access from the car park you can use the public footpaths that surround the site. There are a number of benches located next to the children’s play area and close to the car park.
Sports pitches and equipment
Features such as the Skate Park and nearby Oak Park Active Living Centre are accessible using paths from the main car park on Lichfield Road.
Oak Park Active Living Centre includes accessible changing and toilet facilities. Booking and use of these facilities is separate to core park activities.
Getting to Oak Park open space
Several bus companies run services that will take you near to Oak Park open space including National Express West Midlands and Diamond. Nearest bus stops located on Lichfield Road – buses 10 and X35, Coppice Road - bus 10A and Brownhills Road / Occupation Road - buses 10 and 24.
There is a good sized car park which can be accessed from Lichfield Road (next to K.F.C.). It includes accessible/blue badge bays (3.6m wide overall and offers room to the side and rear of the vehicle). View opening hours for the on-site car park.
