The park is named after Mr Hyla J Holland from Brownhills. He served as a councillor and was chairman of the parks committee.

Facilities and features

Accessibility

The site has hard, flat, tarmac-surfaced pathways all around the park. All gates provide easy access and each pathway is at least 1100mm wide to enable access for wheelchairs, people with mobility impairments and pushchairs.

There are 20 benches around the site, close to pathways to allow for rest if required.

Sports pitches and equipment

Gates to facilities such as the tennis court and play area are all wide enough for wheelchair access. There is a shelter located next to the skate park which is wheelchair accessible.

There is a snakes and ladders game painted on to a tarmac area next to the play area which is accessible to all. The table tennis is on a tarmac surround next to a path so is easily accessible.

All paths around the perimeter of the park have markers to let you know how far you have travelled. There are also health walk markers located around the site.

Getting to Holland Park

Several bus companies run services that will take you near to the park including National Express West Midlands and Diamond. The nearest bus stops are on The Parade - buses 3, 8, 10, 24, 936, 937 and 937a.

There are 4 car parking spaces accessed off the drive from Chester Road north at the south end of the park, which is also recommended for passenger drop offs. There is also a larger car park at the north end of the park from the parade, although this surface is not tarmac.
