Anchor Meadow playing fields

The playing fields are a large open space near to Aldridge town centre. You can enjoy walking, playing sports and jogging on the site.

Accessibility

The playing fields are mown grass, without dedicated paths. A single pathway provides access to the sports pitches from the rear of Aldridge Community Centre car park. Access to the Multi-use Games Area is provided by a flat, tarmac-surfaced pathway from Middlemore Lane. It is suitable for wheelchair users, people with mobility impairments and pushchairs, being at least 1100mm wide with sections 1500 - 2000mm wide to allow for turning. A shelter with a bench is located close to the Multi-use Games Area.

Getting to Anchor Meadow playing fields

Several bus companies run services that will take you near to the playing fields, including National Express West Midlands and Diamond. The nearest bus stop is on Leighswood Road, buses 25, 35 and 35A. Alternative bus stops are close to the Aldridge Shopping Centre, buses 6, 7, 7A, 25, 35, 35A, 36, 936, 937, 937A and 997Platinum.

There is a car park at the Aldridge Community Centre, accessed from Middlemore Lane, with space for 50 cars and 3 accessible / Blue Badge bays. View opening times for the on-site car park
