Sneyd Reservoir

Sneyd Reservoir is the largest body of open water within Rough Wood Chase. It was built to maintain the water levels in the area's canals before Chasewater Reservoir was built.

This site is great for health walks, dog walking, picnics, and nature watching.

Sneyd reservoir is a Local Nature Reserve (LNR) and Site of Importance for Nature Conservation (SINC).

Accessibility

Access to the site is quite steep but has some hard surfacing.

Nature trails: There is a circular trail that takes in the whole of Rough Wood Chase

Birds, fish, bats. 

Getting to Sneyd Reservoir

Several Bus companies run services that will take you near to the reservoir including Thandi Transport, National Express West Midlands and Diamond.

View opening times for the car park at the end of Hunts Lane.
