Moorcroft Wood Local Nature Reserve

This site is well used for environmental education and pond-dipping. Moorcroft Wood is home to many kinds of birds and bats. There is a large pool and the smaller, shallow pools are home to newts and insects like water scorpion.

There is a large circular path all around the site, but we think it's more fun off the beaten track!

Moorcroft Wood is a designated Local Nature Reserve (LNR).
