Beacon Quarry and the Spinney

This site was once an important source of building sand and pebbles. The sandstone forms a deep red cliff, which lights up in the sunset and is visible from some distance. 

It's a great for place for health walks, dog walking and geology, and is part of the Beacon way nature trail.

Beacon Spinney is a designated Site of Importance for Nature Conservation (SINC).

How to get to Beacon Quarry and the Spinney

Several Bus companies run services that will take you near to the area, including National Express West Midlands and Diamond.

There is no car park on site.
