Dates of when the Council will be open and closed during the festive period.
Many Council services are closed during the festive period, please see below for our opening times:
Monday 25th December - CLOSED
Tuesday 26th December - CLOSED
Wednesday 27th December - CLOSED
Thursday 28th December – OPEN – 08:45 – 17:15
Friday 29th December – OPEN – 08:45 – 16:45
Monday 1st January – CLOSED
Tuesday 2nd January – OPEN – Standard opening hours resume
However, if you require urgent help or advice in relation to Children and Young People you can contact 0300 555 2922.
For Adult Social Care or Homelessness support, you can contact 0300 555 2836.
Please call at any time when our main offices are closed.
If you need to report any urgent issues on public land or highways within Walsall whilst the council is closed, please call 01922 650000 and you will be transferred to our out of hours team.
Household waste collections will continue to take place every two weeks throughout Christmas and New Year. No waste collections will take place on:
Monday 25th December (Christmas Day)
Tuesday 26th December (Boxing Day)
Monday 1st January (New Years Day)
If your regular collection would be due on any of these days, please be advised that your bin will then be collected the next working day.

The Walsall Arboretum café and visitor centre will be open every day of the festive period except Christmas Day and New Years Day (please note, facilities will not be available for these two days).
