Christmas waste collections
Household waste collections will continue to take place every two weeks throughout the Christmas and New Year period. No waste collections will take place on:
- Wednesday 25 December (Christmas Day)
- Thursday 26 December (Boxing Day)
- Wednesday 1 January (New Years Day)
If your regular collection would be due on any of these days, your bin day will change over Christmas and New Year. Put your grey and green bins out for collection on the date shown in the table.

No additional bagged waste will be collected on any other day. Any additional waste you may have can be taken to the household waste recycling centres at Aldridge or Bloxwich for free.

Household Waste Recycling Centres
Merchants Way (Aldridge) and Fryers Road (Bloxwich) Household Waste Recycling Centres will be closed on Wednesday 25 December, Thursday 26 December and Wednesday 1 January.

Recycle it right at Christmas
There are some items that are used more often during the Christmas and New Year period. Find out what to do with some of the most common items you may need to recycle or dispose of in the coming weeks.
Bulky waste collections and bin deliveries
Bulky waste collections and deliveries for new or replacement bins will not take place on Wednesday 25 December, Thursday 26 December or Wednesday 1 January.
Clinical waste collections
Clinical waste collections (orange bag or yellow bin) will change over the Christmas period. Customers due a collection on Thursday 26 December will receive their collection on Friday 27 December.
Sharps and bags collections

Commercial waste collections
There will be no commercial waste collections on Wednesday 25 December, Thursday 26 December and Wednesday 1 January.
If you know your business will be closed during this period you can opt to temporarily suspend your collections. Please contact us by Wednesday 18 December if you would like to suspend your collections.
