Dates of when the Council will be open and closed during the festive period.
Many Council services are closed over the festive period, please see below for opening days:
Monday 26th December - CLOSED
Tuesday 27th December - CLOSED
Wednesday 28th December - CLOSED
Thursday 29th December – OPEN
Friday 30th December – OPEN
Monday 2nd January – CLOSED
Tuesday 3rd January – OPEN – Standard opening hours resume
However, where urgent help or advice is required in relation to Children and Young People, Adult Social Care or Homelessness support, you can contact 0300 555 2922 or 0300 555 2836 at any time.
Furthermore, if you need to report any urgent issues on public land or highways within Walsall whilst the Council is closed, please call 01922 650000 and select the option for “Emergencies” and you will be transferred to our out-of-hours team.
Household waste collections will continue to take place every two weeks throughout the Christmas and New Year period. No waste collections will take place on Monday 26 December (Boxing Day) – you can find out more here: https://go.walsall.gov.uk/bins/christmas-waste-collections
