Get ready for Walsall Council’s festive Holiday Activity and Food programme

Bookings for the council’s Christmas Holiday Activity and Food (HAF) programme will open on Wednesday 20 November 2024.
*Eligible families are encouraged to book onto activities early to avoid disappointment.
The winter programme for 2024 will take place on the following dates:
- Monday 23 December 2024
- Tuesday 24 December 2024
- Monday 30 December 2024
- Thursday 2 January 2025
- Friday 3 January 2025
The council works with over 75 providers in the borough to offer children and young people aged 5 to 16 years old, fun, local activities, while providing the opportunity for learning and developing new skills.
As part of the programme, children are provided with a healthy meal at activities they attend.

Our HAF programme this summer was record-breaking in terms of the numbers of children and young people who attended our activities, and this winter we expect it to be equally as popular.
Our providers are busy planning some fantastic festive activities ready for the holidays, so make sure you log in, see what’s on, and book onto your activities when they open.

Walsall Council was awarded £1.8m from Department for Education (DFE) funding to deliver the Holiday Activities and Food (HAF) programme in 2024.
*The programme is aimed at children and young people ages 5 to 16 years, eligible for free school meals to offer healthy food and enriching activities during the school holidays.
