Published on

Drop-in sessions in Walsall are taking place next week, for parents and carers who may need help with their primary school applications.

Walsall Council’s school admissions team will be on hand to help at sessions in Willenhall, Darlaston, Blakenall and the Lichfield Street Library Hub in Walsall town centre.

Children born between 1 September 2021 and 31 August 2022 are due to start reception in September 2026.

“ "It’s that time of year again when we remind parents to complete their primary school applications.

Applications close on 15 January 2026, and our school admissions team are hosting drop-in sessions so parents and carers can attend with any questions or queries they may have, or if they need help with the online process.

Please remember that you can apply for a place at up to three schools for your child, so do make use of all preferences available! “

Councillor Mark Statham, Portfolio Holder for Children's, Education and Lifelong Learning
