Report a rogue landlord

If you live in privately rented property that is not well managed or maintained you can contact us for free help and advice.

We will use enforcement action to stop rogue landlords.

A ‘rogue landlord’ is someone who ignores their responsibilities. A rogue landlord is someone who rents out unsafe and substandard accommodation to tenants.

Enforcement actions include:

  • Civil Penalty Notices (CPNs) of up to £30,000
  • Rent Repayment Orders (RROs)
  • Adding landlords to the National Database of Rogue Landlords and Letting Agents. The is for landlords who have ignored more than one legal notice or failed to improve
