Get support to live at home

We offer help with personal care and domestic tasks to vulnerable adults in Walsall. We do our best to meet individual needs and make services flexible. Our aim is to help you to be as independent as possible.

We may provide the service ourselves or arrange it through one of our contracted providers. The help we offer includes:

  • personal care
  • shopping
  • pension collection/payment of bills
  • laundry and ironing
  • escorting

We can offer many other kinds of help as well.

Find out if you can get home care

You'll need to ask us for an assessment. The assessment will be a conversation between you and a social worker. Your partner, family member, friend or other representative can support you if you want.

This conversation will help both you and the social worker to figure out what your needs are. This will also give you both an understanding of how much support will cost.

We may need to see you in person to discuss things further. Contact us to arrange an assessment.

Paying for care

There is a charge for this service. If you're eligible for care services, we will ask you about your finances and base your charge on this.

Working hours

Home care services are available 24 hours a day.

However, many of our services are only available between 7.30am and 10pm. Services provided outside of this period are known as out of hours services.

Walsall Council’s home care service operates an out of hours service between 10pm and 7am. This is for those in greatest need.

Contact us to discuss the out of hours service.
