Crossroads Caring for Carers- Carers Assistance Line

The Carers Assistance Line (CAL) aims to break down the barriers and challenges faced by unpaid carers, in particular, those from under-represented groups, including LGBTQ+, ethnic minorities, males and young people. CAL can provide a caring, listening ear and practical support:
• Confidential, one-to-one support
• Advice, information and guidance over the phone or face-to-face
• Signposting to other specialist support services provided by Crossroads and other local organisations
• Benefits advice
• Advice on how to gain a Carers Assessment from the Local Authority
• Wellbeing support
• Coaching/mentoring
• Support and practical training provided in the home, by our in-house trainer
• Access to Carers Trust Emergency Fund
• Regular Carer Support Groups. Opportunity to attended organised day trips for regular attendees.
