Tell us if you’re moving home

If you move home, you’ll need to let us know.

You can tell us up to 14 days before your moving date, or as soon as possible after you move.

You can user our online portal to tell us if you’re:

• moving into Walsall borough. This includes moving into a property that you’ve bought or you’re renting, or if you’ve bought a property for rental or investment but you’re not living there yourself.
• moving out of Walsall borough. Use this option if you’re moving to another area, moving in with someone (in Walsall) who’s already registered, or if you’re selling a property in Walsall where you’re responsible for council tax but it isn’t your main home.
• moving to another address within Walsall borough.

If you’re moving out of your old property and into your new one on the same day, you’ll need to put the same date in the moving in/moving out section.
