Getting paid for childcare places you provide
You can use the Provider Portal to claim for the childcare provided by your daycare setting, or as a childminder. Full details on how to do this are included in the portal.
You will need to make sure all information about the children attending your setting is already entered on to the portal and that you have correct funding codes etc before you can submit funding claims for places you have provided.
The Funding Timetable below provides key dates for submitting claims for the childcare places you provide and other information we need, such as headcount and census data.

Updating your provider information (sufficiency information)
We are required to provide enough childcare for working parents or parents who are studying or training for employment, for children aged 0-14 or up to 18 for disabled children.
We’ll ask you to update your details and vacancy information on the provider portal, or via a survey, to make sure we have a sufficient range of childcare available in Walsall. You’ll need to update the information about the places you offer and how many are available in your setting once per term. We refer to this in our portal as ‘sufficiency information’. This information is also used to generate lists for parents or carers so they can stay informed about childcare places available.
