Transition and Leaving Care Hub (TLC)
The Transition and Leaving Care Hub (TLC) is where our Personal Advisors are based and where you can access advice and support.
It's also where our care leaver community comes together to celebrate the successes of our young people who have achieved well in education, employment or training and care leaver football team. It's used for meetings of the Care Leaver Group and for events celebrating Christmas and Care Leavers Week.
Services and facilities at the TLC
There's a range of services and facilities for care leavers at the building:
- Emergency community food pantry
- Access to our kitchen facilities and hot drink/meal offer
- Laundry facilities
- Access to health advice via our Looked After specialist nurse
- Education, employment or training advice from Walsall Works and Walsall Virtual School
- An ‘open door’ duty Personal Advisor system to ensure that there is a listening ear or someone to offer support to you when you need it
