Business waste

Every business has a legal duty of care to ensure their waste is disposed of responsibly. There are many licensed waste disposal companies in the area who can provide a collection service for your business waste. The tips (Fryers Road and Merchants Way household waste recyling sites) cannot take business waste. Find business waste disposal advice on GOV.UK.

Use our trade waste service

We offer a wide range of waste containers. As a licensed waste carrier, we can collect, transport and dispose of your waste in compliance with the Environmental Protection Act.

We do not collect any hazardous waste from business premises. This includes tyres, plasterboard, engine or cooking oil, meat, clinical waste or medical waste.

Arranging a trade waste contract

To arrange a trade waste contract you should complete, sign and return the following documents to our Walsall Council Environmental Depot:

  • Trade Waste Agreement Form
  • the Duty of Care Waste Transfer Note
  • a Direct Debit mandate form, if required (original, signed form please)

We cannot provide business waste collections without a correctly completed and signed Duty of Care Waste Transfer Note.  You must retain your Waste Transfer Notes for a minimum of two years. We may visit your business premises to assess the waste you are producing before collections commence.

To make changes to an existing agreement

Changes can be made by completing a Trade Waste Amendment Form.
