Code of governance

Corporate Governance is the system by which local authorities direct and control their functions and relate to their communities.

There are fundamental principles which underpin corporate governance and for Walsall Council. These principles are detailed in our Code of Governance document below. 

The code has been in operation for some time, but has recently been subject to review. Corporate governance is everyone’s responsibility.
