Apply for a child performance licence

A child under school leaving age may need a licence if they take part in:

• films, plays, concerts or other public performances that the audience pays to see, or that take place on licensed premises
• paid or professional sport
• modelling

As the person running the performance/event, you’ll need to apply for a child performance licence or exemption certificate. If you are not sure what you need, email us with your enquiry.

Complete your form, save it, and send it by email to ChildEmployment@walsall.gov.uk

You’ll need to make sure we receive your application not less than 21 days before the first performance or activity.
