Report an untaxed vehicle
If you see an untaxed vehicle on a road, you can report it. Your report is anonymous and it will be investigated. Our third party enforcement agents, Penham Excel, will remove untaxed vehicles.
You will need to check if a vehicle is taxed on the government’s website before you report it. This is a free service.
Make a note of the following information:
- registration mark (number plate)
- the make and model of the vehicle
- the colour of the vehicle
- street name, town and the postcode where you saw the vehicle
You will not be able to report the vehicle without these details.
This is the quickest way to get an untaxed vehicle off the road. If you’d rather report it as abandoned, you can do that by using our report an abandoned vehicle service.
