Report noise from a business
If you're experiencing noise from a pub or club, you can tell us about it by emailing us.
You can also find out if they have a licence to play loud or live music, particularly at night.
Ask to review a licence for a business
Most pubs and clubs will have the right licensing already, but a review can be triggered if:
- there are serious or regular breaches of their license
- they have issues with underage drinking
- they are causing a nuisance for local residents from excessively loud music
You can request a review of the license/certificate if you're deemed a:
- responsible authority – the police, fire service or environmental protection team
- interested party – residents, councillors, licensing authority and businesses
- member of the club – members of the club to which the club premises certificate relates
When can I apply?
You can apply at any time once a licence/certificate has been awarded. However, if you've already made a claim that we reviewed, you will need to wait a reasonable amount of time before you can apply again.
How do I apply?
You must complete and send to us the Form of Application for the review of a premises licence or club premises certificate under the Licensing Act 2003.
The grounds of your application must relate to one or more of the four licensing objectives:
- the prevention of crime and disorder
- public safety
- the prevention of public nuisance
- the protection of children from harm
You must send a copy of your application including all accompanying documents (if any) to the premises licence holder and to each of the responsible authorities for the Walsall area. You must do this on the same day as you send your application to us.
