Tree planting in Walsall borough
Tree planting aims to restore and protect nature. It can create ecosystems that need little or no management. It can also reduce climate change and strengthen landscapes so they can cope in the future.
What we're doing
We’re a planning large-scale restoration of woodland in our borough. To do this, we’re planting trees to help local pollinators, some of which may be rare or endangered.
These natural habitats provide homes for wildlife. They also help reduce carbon emissions and soak up local pollution. This creates a natural ecosystem for insects, birds, and mammals. It also provides us with more diverse spaces to connect with nature.
