Archival research services
We are pleased to offer our services to help with your archival research needs.
There is a charge for this service.
Basic enquiries about our holdings or information about our service remain free. You can also do your own research at no cost.
How it works
You'll need to tell us how much research time you want to buy, and pay in advance.
The time you pay for includes:
- accessing, retrieving and searching records
- writing a report about where and what we have accessed to carry out the research
- a limited number of photocopies
You may also need to pay for:
- extra photocopies (we'll ask you before making these)
- postage and packing (for postal responses only)

When you'll get your report
We will aim to complete your enquiry within 28 working days of receiving payment.
We will contact you by email, unless you ask for a response by post.
