Walsall splash pad closures due to water quality issues

Published on

The splash pad at Walsall Arboretum is reopening and will be fully operational from Saturday 25 May until Sunday 1 September 2024.

It is free to visit and offers a variety of water features including fountains, water cannons, and spray jets.

Unfortunately, the splash pads at Willenhall Memorial Park and King George V Memorial Playing Fields will not be reopening this weekend. Walsall Council is working hard to ensure they reopen as soon as possible and that the water quality at these locations meets the required standards for public bathing.

The council apologises to residents for the inconvenience this may cause but it is important to prioritise public health and safety.

Updates will follow on our social media channels.

Notes to editors

The Arboretum splash pad is open from 11am to 5pm on weekends, school holidays, and Bank Holidays, and from 11am to 3pm on weekdays during term time.

Children should be supervised while using the splash pad to ensure their safety.
